I have never experienced a homecoming parade in a smallish town before. The excitement was so fun! The schools closed early and the festivities began. I think everyone in the area turned out for the parade. It was a beautiful fall day. The floats were actually children's play houses that various classes built and then auctioned off. It was such a resourceful idea. Not buildling, tearing down and pitching the supplies.
